| I am interested in learning Krav Mag here in Salt Lake City UT, but was wondering what the difference is in Krav Maga Federation Certified Instructors vs Krav Maga World Wide or Krav Maga Alliance Certified instructors. |

There are others more qualified than I to discuss the rigorous certification process and I'm sure they will post, but I just wanted to say that Katrina Reynolds, the instructor in SLC, is one of the best teachers you'll ever have. She taught for years here in NYC and I was lucky enough to take classes with her when I was first learning Krav Maga. Kat's extensive qualifications and experience speak for themselves, but it's the quality of her teaching that sets her apart. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find somebody with her ability to convey the techniques, attitude, and physical and mental toughness that Krav Maga requires. She is a master technician who will motivate and inspire you.
Glad you're doing your homework and researching your options. Don't take my word for it - try a class and see if it's for you. Good luck! |

| I appreciate your response and have been doing research on the instructors and organizations that certify instructors. I see Katrina Reynolds has classes at the U of U and at the Jewish community center and will def check out her classes as I attend the U already and work at the hospital. Thanks Again. |

| No practitioner in that area can be remotely compared to Katrina in terms of skill level as a Krav Maga instructor. |

I would explore all options before making a decision. I have no doubt in Katrina's skills but every Krav instructor teaches differently. Explore your options and see which studio is the right fit for you.
Good luck with your training. |

I'll second Dror Bikel's sentiment and add that Ms. Reynolds is very motivating, very accurate (both in her instruction and her ability). Her skill, range of experience in other martial arts and authority on the specific subject of Krav Maga (which is primarily what you would be concerned about) is some of the highest you will find in the country.
If you are starting Krav Maga, and are interested in getting it right the first time, this is the instructor you want. _________________ "Identify what matters. Then take it." |

I posted this iin another thread but think it might better be answered here:
I am new to Salt Lake City and will be taking classes very soon along with my wife from Katrina Reynolds and we are very excited.
I noticed that the class minimum age is 18. Are there any classes in the are for youngsters?
Thank you all in advance for your help. |

I know Katrina doesn't currently offer children's classes, but she may have a recommendation for that area. I'll let her chime in with that answer.
You're in great hands with Katrina, she was the instructor for my first class. _________________ "I am the edge" |
