Hey everyone!
Me, Pete, and some of the Brooklyn guys want to do the Tough Mudder in October. Anyone else want to be part of our Krav Maga team? And does anyone have suggestions for our team name?

It won't let me post the link but if you go to the Tough Mudder website and click on Find An Event, it's the Tri-State event on October 20-21.

Here you go: http://toughmudder.com/events/tri-state-2012/

(you have to have a few posts under your belt before posting links - keeps the spam down)

I might be interested in joining, lets chat!

It tends to be a better idea to do Tough Mudder on the second day -- on the first day they end up with a lot more injuries because people are literally sacrificing themselves on equipment that hasn't really been tested for the conditions in which people use it. There were so many broken limbs on the angled monkey bars they had last fall because the water underneath was too shallow and the bars were too slippery from the wet mud. By the second day they usually fix those sorts of issues. Just a thought. Live tough or die tryin'! :) have fun, guys

I saw on the site that the requirements are to be able to do 10 pullups. I can do 5 good-form pullups - meaning full extension of elbows, chin above the bar, no motion from my legs. I don't have tons of experience climbing over walls. Anyone who has done the mudder before care to weigh in on whether I'll be good enough?

Anyone who is seriously interested in joining our team for the tough mudder and hasn't already spoken to Pete or me directly should send me a private message with their email. We're doing it on Sunday October 21st.
